33-34）Gustav Klimt is a world-famous painter from Austria. He began life on July 14th, 1862.Klimt showed his talent in art early in life. In 1876, he went to the Vienna School of Arts andCrafts. He soon began his life as both a student and a painter for public buildings. These jobs,such as the wall paintings in one museum, brought him early success. In1883, he finished hisstudy and began to try a new way of painting. Fourteen years later, he started the ViennaSecession and many other artists joined him. However, most of his best-known paintings werepainted between 1907 and 1909 after he left his own club. The time was also called his GoldenPhase because he used gold leaf on his oil painting and made it look like mosaic. He died in1918, but his work keeps inspiring everything today from painting to fashion.
