Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world, and it is growing taller every year. It is now 8,848 meters high. It is also one of the most dangerous places in the world. In winter, the temperature can go down to -42oC. Even in summer, it is still snowy and windy up there. What’s worse, the air is very thin, and people would find it difficult to breathe. However, for more than a hundred years, this beautiful mountain has been attractive to tens of thousands of people from around the world. Every year thousands of people try to reach the top, but only several hundred make it. For over 300 people, this dream has cost their lives. Now, climbing Mount Everest is big business. More and more people want to go up the mountain and on some days, there have been over thirty people on the summit. However, many people littered, and there is now as much as 10 tons of trash left on the mountain.
