Last Sunday, my sister and I went shopping at a large shopping mall in my town. The important Christmas Day was coming, so the shopping mall was full of people. Many girls and ladies were hanging their handbags loosely over their shoulders, and I was, too. My mother always tells me,”You must hang your bag carefully over your shoulder in these places.” I never listen to her, and her words always fell on deaf ears.
The shopping mall was having a big sale. Everything was not expensive. I was looking at the clothes with cute blue ribbons —I wanted to buy it for a long time. It was 70% off, so I bought one for 280 dollars that day. I was very happy and didn’t notice a thief was coming close to me. My eyes were on the clothes and I did not see him.
Suddenly, there was a pull on my shoulder. I had a bad cut, and my arm was bleeding. I cried for help.
“Stop him!My handbag!Thief!Thief!” I shouted terribly.
A man heard my cry of help and called everyone to catch the thief. Two young men caught the thief and pushed the thief down.
“Aha!We got you!” the men said happily. My sister then took my hangbag back to me from the thief. After that, for my safty, I will listen to my mom—“hang your bag carefully over your shoulder.”
