二、閱讀理解:20%(每題2分)   At the end of a great Closing Ceremony in Taipei Stadium, the 29th Summer Universiade drew to a successful close earlier last month. The ceremony marked the end of an outstanding 12 days of sport, education and culture. 7,734 athletes from 134 countries competed in 271 medal events over 21 sports. The Universiade is an international sporting and cultural event which is planned every two years in a different city. It is only second to the Olympic Games.   In the Athletes' Village, over 90 percent of the food comes from Taiwan. Taiwanese pepper popcorn chicken was the most popular food, with over 100 kilograms consumed every day, followed by beef noodles in a close second. Athletes ate about 900 bowls of beef noodles a day, an unthinkable 90 kilograms. The third popular Taiwanese food was scallion pancakes which athletes consumed 500 a day. The top three international foods were pizza, fried rice and grilled sandwiches. A chef,Zhang-fang Wu said that perhaps pepper popcorn chicken was a hit because foreign athletes loved fried food. Pepper popcorn chicken is more delicious than chicken nuggets -- it's less oily, less salty.   Zhang-fang Wu said that in total, 8,000 kilograms of fruit and 2,000 kilograms of vegetables were being consumed daily, and that each breakfast needs 20,000 eggs. Statistics show that the best-loved fruit so far has been the banana: 2,500 kilograms of it were being eaten in a day. Taiwan was indeed not only the "kingdom of food," but also the "kingdom of fruit." ceremony典禮,stadium田徑場,Universiade世界大學運動會,outstanding傑出的,athlete運動員,compete競賽,medal獎牌, scallion蔥,grill烤,chicken nugget雞塊,statistic統計,consume消耗
