Many years ago, people in Taiwan had a hard life. Most people were poor farmers and raised chickens and pigs for food. They didn’t want to waste any part of an animal, so every part of it became food. Some people mixed pig’s blood with rice and made that into a cake. They took the cake to work and enjoyed it when they got hungry.
