問題詳情

六、閱讀測驗15%  Hold your smartphone in front of you, smile, and take a photo of yourself. Look! You’ve just taken a selfie, and now you can post it online. Selfies, or self-portrait photos, have become popular these days, with more and more people uploading them to social networking. Even the word “selfie” itself has been used so much so that it had been chosen as Word of the Year for 2013 by Oxford Dictionaries Online.  More people are interested in taking selfies for several reasons. It is easier to take self-portrait photos with smartphones with forward-facing cameras. If you don’t like the photo you take, you can simply take it again. New photo apps can help you change the color and lighting of your photos. You can also share your photos with friends on Facebook, Twitter, and other websites in seconds after uploading them.  Some see selfies as a way to record life events. When you have a wonderful time with friends, taking a photo helps you remember the amazing experience, and uploading it lets you share the happy moments. Others see selfies as a way to build self-confidence. The more “likes” a person’s selfie gets, the better that person feels about himself or herself. But it might be dangerous to know and understand a person only by their selfies. Selfies themselves may not be bad, but the important thing to keep in mind is not to define yourselves or others based on selfies.
