＜C＞ The Earthship concept has been developed over 30 years by the architect Michael Reynolds, who started his Earthshipbiotecture business in Taos, New Mexico. The concept pioneers 41 varied aspects of sustainable construction and has gonethrough a series of evolutionary changes. Now, whole communities of Earthships do not just exist in New Mexico. The designs ofEarthships have evolved and been used in many other locations, Europe and Japan 42 . Earthshipsare flexible in design and use recycled building materials, primarily used tires and aluminum cans.
