Over more than one-quarter of the world, there is solittle rain that almost nothing will grow. This is desert.There are hot deserts and cold deserts. In hot deserts,there is very little water in the air and there are no clouds.There is nothing to stop the rays of the sun hitting theground, which becomes very hot by day.
