問題詳情
Dear Diary,
I was drawn to Doctors Without Borders because I wanted to help people. Its members go into any country where they’re needed. There’s no politics, just the question of helping those in need. As a doctor I had useful skills, so I decided to join up.
Back then I thought I would be giving children shots in Albania or some small African villages. I had no idea that I would be on the front lines of a “hot zone.” We have been in Liberia for a year, and it seems we’re finally wining the fights against Ebola. However, I still have to follow all the rules. Before entering the hospital, I put on four layers of plastic. It can get very hot under there, but I can’t touch my face. That would be too dangerous. There are doctors and nurses from all around the world here, but we all agree on one thing. This is a hard job, but someone has to do it.
