  I always enjoy watching the dragon boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival. My grandfather first showed me one when I was little. At that time, the boats looked like real dragons to me, and they moved really fast on the water. Last year, I had a chance to be on a dragon boat team. We got up very early every morning to practice. However, before we could take the boat out on the water, the captain of the team gave each of us a life vest and a paddle. The first was to keep us safe if we fell out of the boat and into the water. The second was to help us move the boat by pushing the water back and away. In the two months before the festival, we worked really hard, and we learned to work as a team.           When the big day came, we were all very excited. Right before our race, we all gave each other a big hug and wished each other luck. When we were finally out on the water, we were moving like a dragon. It was a real dream come true for me.
