Ineffective erythropoiesis is active erythropoiesis with premature death of red blood cells, a decreased output of RBCs from the bone marrow, and, consequently, anemia. It is a condition characterised by the presence or abundance of dysfunctional progenitor cells.[1]缺鐵性貧血就是因缺乏鐵質而造成血紅素的合成有缺陷，使得血液中紅血球內的血色素減少稱之。
