Juxtaglomerular cell 近腎絲球細胞(JG cell)1. 由afferent arteriole 壁上的平滑肌細胞改變成較大且含有顆粒的JG cells，少部分由efferent arteriole 變來2. 小顆粒的成分為renin3. 沒有Internal elastic membrane當DCT 內的Na+含量太高時，會由緻密斑偵測訊息，並發出給JG cell 知道，於是JG cell 便分泌出renin 去引起一連串反應，使腎上腺皮質小球區域分泌aldosterone，讓DCT 和集尿管的細胞把Na+吸收回來再送回血管去(再吸收)，並從而促進水分的再吸收三、Extraglomerular mesangial cell 腎絲球外環間膜細胞一種mesangial cell，但因為長在腎絲球外，所以改稱為extraglomerular mesangial cell，又稱為Lacis cell
