Do you like to read books late at night? Of course, you need to turn on the lights, don’t you?
A bookstore in Kaohsiung is trying something new. Its name is "Wuguan Books", and it wants
you to try reading in the dark! You can’t use flashlights, and you can't take any flash pictures inside
the store.
They have 400 bookshelves in the store. With only a very small light behind each book, it looks
like the books are floating!
There are other fun things in the store, too, like Harry Potter jokes. Also, you can see some
signs. They tell you what to do if someone steps on your foot in the dark store.
The name of the bookstore “Wuguan Books” means “Have nothing to do with books”. The
owner of the store says, the bookstore does not really want to sell books. But it is trying to help
readers "read with the heart", or “talk with the one inside their heart” because people see more, feel
more, and think more in the dark.
That is really an interesting bookstore. Do you want to go there and have a look at it?
