問題詳情

四、閱讀測驗(共30分,每題2分)A. Oscar Wilde was born in Dublin, Ireland on October 16, 1854. His mother and father were both writers so it seemed only fitting for Oscar to be a writer as well. Oscar spent his entire childhood in Ireland. After college, he worked in different jobs like teaching and writing. These jobs took him to the United States, Canada, and France.  After traveling, Oscar settled in England and married Constance Lloyd. Also around this time, Oscar wrote many children’s stories. His two most famous fairy tales are The Selfish Giant and The Happy Prince, which were written for his two sons.Oscar also wrote a few great plays, including An Ideal Husband, A Woman of No Importance, Lady Windermere’s Fan, and The Importance of Being Earnest. His plays are still quite popular all over the world. In fact, An Ideal Husband was made into a movie in 1999. The Importance of Being Earnest was made into a movie in 2002.  Though Oscar died rather young at the age of 46, the memory of him lives on his stories, plays, and famous quotes.
