IV. 閱讀測驗 (一題兩分,共 12 分)                                                           Dreamcatchers   Have you ever heard of dreamcatchers? Created by Native Americans, dreamcatchers today come in different sizes andstyles. They are usually made of small wooden hoop covered with a net. On the net, there are beautiful beads. Besides, feathers arehung down from the bottom of the hoop.    The Ojibwe, one of Native American tribes, believe that dreamcatchers came from Asibikaashi. Asibikaashi, the spiderwoman, is the spirit who protect young children. As the Ojibwe grew and spread in North America, it became difficult forAsibikaashi to take care of every child. Therefore, she created the first dreamcatcher to protect them. Following her example, grandmothers and mothers would make dreamcatchers for their children.   A dreamcatcher should be put at the place which is near your bed and can be hit by the morning light. As you sleep, alldreams from the spirit world have to pass through the dreamcatcher. Only good dreams can pass, while bad dreams are caught andburned up by the morning light.    Next time, why not choose a dreamcatcher as a gift for your friends or family? A dreamcatcher is much more than just asimple gift. It tells your friends or family that you care about their well beings and peace of mind.  Native American 印地安人 wooden hoop 木環 bead 珠 feather 羽毛 spread 散佈
