When you travel to New York City, you can visit
Chinatown. Chinatown is a very interesting area in New York.
Many people like to go there. Many Chinese live in Chinatown,
and they still speak Chinese. In Chinatown, you can hear
Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese. Chinatown has many
Chinese bookstores. You can buy books, magazines and
newspapers in Chinese. If you can cook, there are Chinese food
markets. If you cannot cook but love Chinese food, you can
find Chinese restaurants. You can eat dim sum or Peking duck.
You can try Chinese dumplings or chicken feet. Yum, yum!
There are Chinese temples in Chinatown, too.
      And if you like cultural activities, don’t forget the
interesting Chinese New Year celebrations. Every year,
between the end of January and the middle of February, there
are colorful parades with Chinese music, lion dances and
beautiful red lanterns.
