1991年於加拿大首先證實豬罹患離乳後多系統消耗性綜合症（postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome；PMWS），最主要特徵為患豬體重漸進性喪失及出現呼吸症狀等。目前相關報告指出PCV2與PMWS、豬隻皮膚炎腎病症候群（porcinedermatitis nephropathy syndrome；PDNS）、先天性震顫（congenital tremors；CT）、豬呼吸道疾病複合症（porcinerespiratory disease complex；PRDC）、增殖性及壞死性肺炎（proliferative and necrotising pneumonia；PNP）、豬隻流死產均有關，所以選項的B與C都是其病變。第2型肺泡細胞（typeⅡ pneumoncytes）大量增生，肺泡壁、支氣管、小支氣管及小葉間結締組織可見大量水腫液及吞噬細胞浸潤，亦可見肺泡、肺泡壁、支氣管上皮有嗜鹼性核內及質內包涵體。參考：https://vettech.nvri.gov.tw/Appendix/publication/1150.pdf (E) showed the same pathological changes: interstitial pneumonia and some stenosis or obstruction of the pulmonary alveoli. 參考：https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Representative-histopathological-sections-of-lung-from-each-infected-group-200_fig2_256097847
