奧林匹克格言（Olympic Motto）亦稱奧林匹克口號。奧林匹克運動有一句著名的格言：“更快、更高、更強（Citius, Altius, Fortius）”。這一格言是顧拜旦的好友、巴黎阿奎埃爾修道院院長迪東（Henri Didon）在他的學生舉行的一次戶外運動會上，鼓勵學生們時說過的一句話，他說：“在這裡，你們的口號是：更快、更高、更強。” 顧拜旦借用過來將這句話用於奧林匹克運動。他曾經對此作出自己的理解，這或許是對奧林匹克精神最好的闡釋："The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle.
