A suitable gift would be a compass. Compasses point the way to Mecca—the holy land to Islam believers.    People from Latin America are more laid back. Only friends and family expect gifts. People in this region like to receive things they cannot easily get. For example, Argentina is a major leather producer, so receiving leather products would not excite them. Beer and wine, on the other hand, make brilliant gifts because they are expensive in Argentina. Things to stay away from are black or purple items. In Brazil especially, these are colors for sorrowful occasions.   Now that you know so much about different gift-giving customs, make sure your gift communicates the right message.
