(VI)
Michael Bond was born in Newbury in 1926, the UK. He loved writing and first started in it in 1945 while he was in Egypt, with the British army. He sold the short story he wrote and thought becoming a writer wasn't a bad thing. When he returned to England in 1947, he got a job as a BBC cameraman, but he never stopped writing. Then, on Christmas Eve in 1956, Bond saw a lonely teddy bear in a shop window on his way home after work. He got it as a little gif for his wife and called it Paddington Bear. Soon, he got the idea that a bear looked for a home alone at a train station. Two years later, the book, A Bear Called Paddington, was born.
Then, the movie Paddington was also produced in 2014. In the movie, Paddington was lost, alone and only had his old brown suitcase in the streets of London, where he is adopted by the Brown family. He is a very polite bear, trusts people easily and loves orange marmalade. Now, he is back to Paddington 2, directed by Paul King and written by King and Simon Farnaby who wrote it based on the stories from Bond's book. In the movie Paddington 2, Paddington wishes to buy a rare book but this leads him to be thrown into prison for a crime he did not agree with. This time, he needs his adoptive family, the Browns, clear his name.
