A或B都嘛可以，look是連綴動詞當作BE動詞看， the intellectual future of the United States looks dim. = is dark 或 is pessimistic  dark 跟 pessimistic 都能當作悲觀的意思，甚至我覺得dark更好，跟dim算是同義詞。 算了，每次考國文或英文，都有題目要看委員大人的智商來決定答案ZZ
