【評論內容】 A study in Sweden spanning from 1983 to 2002 found an annual incidence rate of 16.4/100,000 for males and 8.9/100,000 for females [1]. The differences decreased slowly with age, but the prevalence remained higher in men with an overall male/female ratio of 1.8. When compared to men with type 1 diabetes, women with type 1 diabetes had two times the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, as well as 40% greater excess risk for all-cause mortality.
