我猜是因為rather than the events that occur in their lives這句是可有可無的補充...這句移除的話，逗點就不見了：It is the interaction between people that is the main focus of social psychology. 是it is....that(who/which)....的強調用法句型，跟一般我們說的I know Charles, who is the boss in that company.的非限定子句的逗點不同
