         Amy told people a rumor about her friend, Sandy. After a few days, all of her friends knew the rumor. Sandy was very hurt. Later, Amy found out that the rumor was not true. She was very sorry and went to her mother to find out what she could do for Sandy. “Buy a chicken”, said her mother. “Then, on your way home, take its feathers and spread them one by one along the street.” Amy did what she was told.
         The next day, her mother said, “Now, go and bring back all those feathers you spread yesterday.” Amy tried to do what her mother said, but all the feathers were gone. “It’s easy to spread them, but it’s difficult to get them back. So is the rumor,”said her mother.
