If I were you, I would.....就是我常說的，「如果我是你呀，我就.....」且慢！If I were you....? 不是 I am 或 I was？搞錯了吧？沒有錯，就是這樣的。在這個「假定怎樣怎樣」的句式之中，不止是 I , 連 you, he, she, they ，一律都是用 were，而且不分過去式或現在式，都是were，很簡單易記。

(如果我是你，我會拒絕這份錄取通知書。我不認為你的管理才能能夠在那間公司有所發揮。) → 所以意思為，那間公司無法讓你的管理才能施展開來。(A)am(B)were(C)can be(D)had been 看到 if ____ you (或者是 him, her, 其他名詞)，動詞一律用 were。* turn down 拒絕。* 這裡的 offer，是指錄取通知書。一般在確定錄取後，HR會寄一份錄取通知書給你，詳細寫明你的職位，職務，薪水，福利。* put to good use  施展，發揮。
