It was a special day for Miranda Collins today. She put on a red coat and went out. Autumn was Miranda’s favorite time of the year and she felt better outside in the fresh air. Lots of children walked to school. They talked to their friends happily. When she got to the school gate, she found the playground was full of children. At eight thirty, the bell rang and the children went into their classrooms. Miranda found the right classroom and went in. All the children stop talking. This was the moment she hated most. She knew that they were all looking at her. She went to the desk at the front of the classroom and put down her bag. Then Miranda looked around the classroom and smiled. “Good morning, everyone,” she said. “I am Miss Collins, your new teacher.”
