A number of case reports describe the development of signs and symptoms consistent with a disulfiram-like reaction during coadministration of alcohol and various cephalosporins, including cefoperazone, cefamandole, cefotetan and moxalactam. The common link between these cephalosporins is the presence of a methyltetrazolethiol (MTT) sidechain in the chemical structure of the drug.
