(49-50)                                                                 Venus Fly Traps     The Venus Fly Trap doesn’t need water or sun to live. It lives on insects. The Venus Fly Trap is a “snap trap.” This means it has two leaves that close together quickly to trap its food. The Venus Fly Trap sits with its two leaves open. They are some little hairs on the inside of each leaf. When an insect lands on the Venus Fly Trap and touches the hairs, the trap closes. The insect can’t get away and finally becomes its meal.
