Dear Diary,                                                                                        Sun., May 14th, 2017
     The day before yesterday was my ninth birthday. It was a warm day in spring. Uncle Kevin andAunt Kelly came to the children’s home to be with me. I don’t have parents, but they are like my parents.I didn’t have any robots or toy cars, so they gave me a bicycle as my birthday gift. I couldn’t make achocolate pie or fried noodles, so we had chicken sandwiches for lunch. I made them! Uncle Kevin andAunt Kelly liked the food a lot. In the afternoon, I rode a bicycle with them. We also played dodge balland roller-skated in the garden. In the evening, we watched TV and ate dinner together. They read manybedtime stories to me. We had a lot of fun. I really had a wonderful birthday.
     Now what am I doing? I am making cards and drawing pictures for Uncle Kevin and Aunt Kelly.I want to say “Thank you” to them because they always take good care of me. They are very nice to me.I love them very much.
