In 2015, for the first timeever, the emoji symbol “ Face with Tears and Joy” waschosen as The Word of the Year by Oxford Dictionaries.Emojis have been around since the late 1990s, but they areused increasingly because of the social media. They canrepresent not only the speakers’ thoughts or ideas but alsotheir emotions. With emojis, people can communicate witheach other without language barriers.
