【8-10】       More people than ever before in history are using the web to shop for a wide variety of items, from houses to shoes to airplane tickets. Why so? Well, compared to a store with fixed hours, online shoppers can choose any time of the day or night to get on the web and shop. Besides, online shoppers are able to compare prices from hundreds of different vendors by using some of the network services. Sometimes, vendors will even give shoppers special discounts to excite shoppers’ interest to shop. Also, shelf space in a store is limited, which means that there’s not great variety of goods to choose from. But in an online store,   the choices are overwhelmingly abundant  . Moreover, it's easy to access consumer reviews for any product shoppers can think of online. Simply look at the reviews from other consumers, and then shoppers can be sure what they’re up to buying. Furthermore, shoppers don’t have to put up with those eager salespeople. Shoppers are completely in charge of the experience.       However, as a consumer, what should we know about and be aware of when doing online shopping? First of all, if we’re buying a clothing item, we don't have the chance to feel the material, try it on, and see how it's made. And if we have a question about what we're looking at, we probably will have to wait at least 24 hours to get a question answered. Most importantly, we must be really careful with privacy and security. We should always take some precautions to make sure the transaction is a safe one.       There's nothing quite like the convenience of ordering something online, and while shopping on the web does have some disadvantages, the advantages far outweigh any disadvantages.
