問題詳情

(二)Most of us are no strangers to the saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” It means whensomething bad happens in your life, you can still make the best out of it. Not many people, though, know wherethis saying came from or who first used it.
To get the answers, let’s know a little about Marshall P. Wilder. He was a dwarf actor, and one of the firstpersons with disability to be successful in his own way. As a child, Wilder already found himself pretty good attelling stories and making people laugh. Later, he even learned to make money from his stories and funny acting. When Wilder passed away in 1915 at the age of 55, Elbert Hubbard wrote an obituary to praise his positive wayof life. Hubbard wrote, “He was a sound mind in an unsound body.” He picked up the lemons that fate hadsent him and started a lemonade-stand.” Very often, those people bring us the most happiness, but at the sametime, they may bear the greatest misfortune in their own lives.
Among people born with disability or suffering from difficulties in the course of life, some of them holdthemselves back, giving up dreams, and some face it angrily and with self-pity. Still others make lemonade outof the lemons, like Marshall P. Wilder — They choose to fight bravely and try their best to live their lives to thefullest.
