Penicillamine服用之前6個月，每2星期要做白血球、血紅素、血小板、檢測尿液分析、量體温，6個月後改成每月做1次。每6個月要做肝功能檢測。服用制酸劑、鐵劑、含鐵產品、牛奶和進食等，都會降低本品吸收，所以要錯開2小時以上。
