Apollo was the son of Zeus, king of all the gods. His twin sister was Diana. Apollo had lots of jobs in the ancient Greek god world. One of his most important jobs was to bring up the sun every day.One day, Apollo met Cupid and he laughed at Cupid for being too young. That made Cupid angry, so he shot Apollo with a golden arrow. The golden arrow made Apollo love the fairy, Daphne, deeply. However, Cupid shot Daphne with a lead arrow. And that made her say no to the god.    Apollo ran after Daphne, but she tried to run away from him. Daphne called out to her father, the river god, for help.
