Captain Woola is the leader of the pirates. This is his diary. Please read his diary and the map andanswer the following questions.
◆July 4th
Today we landed on thesouth-west coast of the Island ofHeart. The map says there are fourlakes on the island. I decided totravel along the river and turnedleft toward the Crystal Lake. Wetook a break here and caught a lotof fish! The Rocky Mountains arein the north of the lake. They areso high. I don’t think we will hideour treasure there. It is too heavy!
◆July 6th
We traveled along the riverfrom the Rocky Mountains andwent east. We went past FingerForest. My man, Patch, pointedthere with his hook hand and saidwe should hide our treasure in the forest. No way, I don’t want my treasure to stay with flies, monkeysand snakes. But the hill behind the forest might be a good choice.
◆July 8th
We stayed at another lake on the island tonight. It is Silver Lake, just in the north of the SunnyMountains. I sent my boys, Johnny and Pitt, to the Palm Forest, which is in the north of the lake. I heardthere is a golden temple inside. I wonder if it is true. Johnny came back with a big bite of bats. He felt sickand said the golden temple was a lie. OK, let’s forget it.
◆July 11th
I finally found a place to bury the treasure. It is a secret cave in the Sunny Mountains and only Chris andI know the right place. Chris swore that he wouldn’t tell anyone the secret； otherwise, he will lose theother leg. I think I can trust him. After all, a dead man can’t talk, can he?
