III. 閱讀測驗    Do you know that Taiwan is named “the kingdom ofbutterflies?” In Taiwan, it is warm, and there are many kinds ofplants. Thirty or forty years ago, the number of butterflies waslarge and there were more than four hundred kinds of butterflies.However, people caught too many butterflies, and nature wasbroken. There were fewer and fewer butterflies in Taiwan.Several years ago, some people noticed that. It’s  a turning point  to change how the people treat butterflies. Now butterflies canbe seen in many places.       Especially in Kaohsiung, Maolin is a famous place to watchlots of butterflies. From November to next year’s March,purple crow butterflies stay here. Every year many visitors go toMaolin for them. It is said that the best time to watch them isbefore 11:30 in the morning or from 2:00 to 3:30 in theafternoon. Jackets and pants should be worn, and visitors canbring cameras, water and hats. Visitors can’t catch any butterfliesthere, but amazing sights can be taken by their cameras.
