The World’s Tallest Building    In 2004, the year in which Taipei 101 was built, people in Taiwan felt very proud of having the tallestbuilding in the world. However, Taiwan did not enjoy this for long because in July, 2007, it was reportedthat the Burj Dubai Tower would become the world’s tallest building, though the work of building was notyet finished. In addition to this, New York has also made plans for a much taller building than Taipei 101,and India has claimed to have the tallest building in three years. Countries are competing with oneanother to have the tallest building. However, some people in these countries think that their countryshould spend less money on tall buildings. It will be more meaningful to use the money to help poorpeople and set up better schools for students. The country can show prosperity better by making allpeople live well than just by having the tallest buildings.
