The homeless people don’t have home to go back and it’shard to take a hot bath or sleep on the clean bed for them.There is no fresh food in the refrigerator. There is no warmblanket for them to tuck. There are no funny TV programsfor them to watch with their family. The street lamp isn’tromantic but a living light to them. They live everywhere inthe city.       What can we do for them? The Big Issue, the magazinehelps the homeless people to take control of their lives byselling it. It’s a magazine about current affairs every monthin the world, of course in Taiwan. We can buy it from themand not just give money to them. The homeless people don’tmean they are not able to work and that’s what the Big Issue isabout. Making money by selling the magazine makes themfeel good about themselves.      The Big Issue vendors are the persons who take the firststep to rebuild their lives. Next time, when you see themnear the MRT station, you can spend one hundred dollars onthe magazine to help them.
