      First came the smart phone, then the smart television, and the smart watch. Just about everything is ‘smart’ these days, so it was only a matter of time before toilets got ‘smart’, too. In fact, scientists at Stanford University lately said that they have made the first smart toilet.
     Scientists say that these toilets will be able to identify each user by the shape of their butt, and also their fingerprints. It will be able to check their health by the quality of their waste. The toilet will use something like cameras to check for known disease markers, including signs of cancer, in the user’s urine and feces.
     By taking a video of the user’s urine and feces, the system can check them for their level of health. Almost everyone uses a toilet these days, so why not make good use of it? Some people think this is a great idea, but others think it’s just money gone down the toilet. Will this smart toilet be popular? How do you think?
