 Dear Diary,          As a kid I thought looks were everything and I would fall in love with the most handsome man in the world. That was the case before I met Kent online. He is not good looking at all, and in most people’s eyes, he was a little ugly. But it is easy to forget about his appearance when I am around him. I love every moment I spend with him. He listens carefully to what I say, smiling all the time. He tells interesting stories making me laugh and even sings love songs to me when I am despondent. In a word, he makes me happy.          We often study together in the library. Sometimes Kent takes me downtown to theaters and restaurants. And when he walks back home with me at night, he always makes me feel safe and warm.          Mom and Dad also like Kent because he takes good care of me. They like how polite and honest he is and that he has a clear plan for his own future — he will become a doctor in two years.
