 In 1999, a big earthquake hit Taiwan at 1：47 a.m. on September 21st. The earthquake lasted no more than two minutes, but it caused serious damage. It was a terrible earthquake in Taiwan. When the earthquake hit, I was sleeping. I woke up and felt my apartment shaking. My parents and I were so scared. We ran out of our apartment soon. The next morning, we watched the news about the earthquake. Many people died or got hurt because of the earthquake. Many buildings fell apart. Hundreds of people lost their houses. It was really terrible.
