三、閱讀測驗What do mailmen do?Have you ever received a letter, a postcard or a package in the mail?  Did you know where it came from, and how a mailman brought it to your place?
There are different types of postal workers working at the post office.  They spend their day doing different jobs.  For example, clerks usually work in the post office and help people with buying postage, sending mails, and collecting packages.  Some workers work with the sorting machine.  They are the sorters.  They sort mails and put them in orders.  Then, of course, there are the mail carriers.  They deliver mails.  In some areas, mail carriers travel on foot ; however, in others they drive in a mail truck.  Mail carriers also collect mails from mailboxes and bring them back to the post office for sorting and shipping.
In the U.S., millions of letters are delivered by postal workers every week!  Mailmen must work for long hours.
