Haybittle等人於1964年提出 採用的β-射源為24Ci的90Sr,排列成長60cm的直線。因為90Sr-90Y行程永久性放射性平衡,90Y的最大β-能量為2.28MeV,所以其有效治療深度約為數114 mm。 90Y solution by wet ashing, and 90Y is then recovered in a small volumeof 0.02–0.05 mol/L HCl.
