         Reopened in early 2015, the Chimei Museum is now housed in a grand new building in Tainan Metropolitan Park. It has been the lifelong passion of its founder, Wen-long Shi, who was inspired by a love of music and happy memories of a(n) __(58)__ spent in museums. After founding a successful manufacturing company in 1960, he used his wealth to establish his own museum. __(59)__ starting a cultural renaissance in Tainan, he filled it with European paintings, historical weapons, fossils, and prized violins. Currently, the Chimei Museum __(60)__ roughly 12,000 pieces of art and history. However, only around a third of them are on display __(61)__ any one time.
