In addition to rain, strong winds from typhoons or hurricanes are dangerous for birds. Amazingly, bords can tell when a stormis coming, as they feel changes in air pressure. __55__ In colder climates, birds also have to endure the cold thatsnowstorms bring. Fortunately, birds’ bodies are built to help them survive in the cold. __56__ Therefore, they aren’taffected by the cold ground. As you can see, birds have a number of ways to survive bad weather. When Nature lets loose her fury, your featheredfriends are likely to be just fine.
