The Story of the Flying Fish
         A long time ago, the Tao（達悟）people didn’t know how to cook fish correctly. They would cook all kinds of fishtogether, and many of them became very sick after eating the fish. The god of fish saw this and decided to help the Taopeople.
         One night, the god of fish came to an old Tao man in a dream and told him to go to a certain place. The man wentto that place right after he got up the next morning. When he arrived there, he was too surprised to say anything. Hesaw a big flying fish with black wings. It was the god of fish. The god taught him the correct way to cook fish andtold him to teach other people. Today, this story is told to children during the Flying Fish Festival.
