The monk gave them tea todrink and talked to them. During the talk, the king washappy to learn some wise life lessons. He then gave thetemple large pieces of land to grow rice. The rice brought thetemple a lot of money. For people to remember the cat forbringing in the good luck, after it died, its statue with a raisedpaw was built.
