         Bouvet Island is in the southern Atlantic Ocean. The closest piece of land is Antarctic-1700 kilometers away. People tried to find the island, but they failed because of its remote location and terrible weather. However, a British team got there in 1964 and found an abandoned lifeboat on the island. There were no markings to show where it was from. There were some items on the beach, but no sign of the people bringing them. Two years later, another group got to the island, but the lifeboat and the other items were gone. Many still don’t know where the boat came from and what happened to the people on the boat.
