       We need flour when we bake food. But do you knowthat flour can blow up easily? On June 27, 2015, at a party ina water park in Taiwan, the stage suddenly caught on fire andburned down in seconds. People screamed and ran for theirlives through fire that seemed to come out of nowhere. Morethan five hundred people got hurt, and eleven people died.
       Usually, a bag of flour wouldn’t burn by itself, but if youthrow a lot of flour into the air and light it, the flour willexplode. When you throw it into the air, the surface area willbecome larger. The larger the surface area becomes, the moreeasily it will blow up. Other powders, like sugar, milkpowders, and coffee are just as dangerous as flour. Be carefulwhen you use them, and remember to keep powders awayfrom fire.
