問題詳情

Questions 191~195 refer to the following group talk, diary entry, and email.
Wilson: Hey guys, have you had a chance to read the latest article in our company newsletter about working from home?
Ivy: No, what's it about?
Wilson: It's talking about how being in the office gives you more opportunity to showcase your skills and connect with people – which helps with promotions, compared to working from home.
Jessica: Oh, that's interesting. I guess it makes sense, but I never really thought about it that way.
Wilson: Yeah, I have to admit, it's been tough for me lately. I've been working from home for months now, and I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of opportunities to grow and advance in my career.
Ivy: Aww, Wilson, I'm sorry to hear that. Is there anything we can do to help?
Jessica: Yeah, maybe we could organize some virtual coffee breaks or team building activities to help us stay connected and build relationships with our coworkers?
Wilson: That's a great idea, Jessica. And I know it's not just about the social aspect. When you're in the office, you have a chance to show your skills and work collaboratively on projects, which can really help you get noticed by management.
Ivy: I can see why that would be frustrating. But don't worry, Wilson, you're a talented and hardworking employee, and I have no doubt that you'll get the recognition you deserve.
Wilson: Thanks, Ivy. I appreciate your support. It's just tough feeling like I'm not making as much progress as I could be.
Jessica: I completely understand, Wilson. It's a challenging time for all of us, but we'll get through it together.
Wilson: Thank you, guys. It means a lot to have such supportive colleagues. I'm just trying to stay positive and keep working hard, but it's not always easy.
Ivy: Hang in there, Wilson. We're here for you, and we'll help you in any way we can.
Jessica: Absolutely. And who knows, maybe we'll all be back in the office soon enough, and we can continue to grow and learn together.
Wilson: I hope so. Thanks again, guys.
Dear Diary,
Today was another day of working from home, and I have to say, it's getting harder and harder to stay motivated.
By 8:30 AM, I was at my desk and ready to start the day. I checked my email and responded to a few messages, but I quickly realized that I was feeling really isolated and disconnected from my colleagues.
I decided to take a break and make myself a cup of coffee. As I was waiting for the coffee to brew, I couldn't help but think about how much I missed the casual conversations and interactions that I used to have with my coworkers in the office.
After lunch, I tried to get back into the groove of work, but it was tough. I felt like I was stuck in a rut and not making any progress. I tried to remind myself of the article in the company newsletter about how being in the office can help with promotions, but it was hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
By 5:00 PM, I had finished my work for the day and closed my laptop. I tried to be grateful for the flexibility and convenience of working from home, but all I could think about was how much I missed my colleagues and the office environment.
Tomorrow is a new day, and I'll try my best to stay positive and focused. But for now, I just need to take a deep breath and remind myself that this won't last forever.
Sincerely,
Wilson
Dear HR Manager,
It is with a heavy heart that I submit my resignation from my position at EOX Company. My last day of work will be November 30.
I want to express my deepest appreciation for the opportunities you have given me during my time at the company. I have learned a lot, and I am grateful for the experiences I have had here. However, I have come to the difficult decision that it is time for me to move on.
As you know, we have been working from home for the past several months due to the pandemic. While I have appreciated the flexibility and convenience that comes with remote work, I have come to realize that it is not the best fit for me personally.
As I mentioned in previous conversations, I have found it increasingly difficult to stay motivated and focused while working from home. I feel disconnected from my colleagues and miss the social interactions and collaborative environment of the office.
Despite my efforts to stay positive and motivated, the reality is that working from home is not the right fit for me. I believe that I would be much happier and more productive in a traditional office setting.
Thank you again for the opportunity to work with such a great team. I wish the company and my colleagues all the best in the future.
 Sincerely,  Wilson
